Conversations are always free.

Tell me what your organization does and what you’re trying to do better. Every message comes straight to me, and I read each one myself.

A sentence or two is plenty, and it doesn’t need to be a well-formed AI question.

What happens next

From one message to a decision

The conversation costs nothing, and every step after it is your call.

  1. OP 010

    A free conversation

You getMy read on whether it’s worth doing

Send me a message about the one process you’d most like to fix, or the work that keeps stalling if you’re not sure which one, and we’ll find a time to talk. There’s no charge and no deck. On the call you walk me through one real example: what arrives, who touches it, what comes out and how often.

  2. OP 020

Working sessions with the people who do the work

You getAn agreed first process, and what a better result looks like

When the first conversation shows a real path, this is usually the next step, and it’s typically free too. I sit with the people who do the work, at their desks or around a whiteboard, and they show me the last real job they finished. Together we pick the process that goes first.

  3. OP 030

    A scoped first project

You getA written scope, or a clear no

I write the first project down in plain language, including what’s left out and how we’ll know it’s done. Every engagement is scoped independently and quoted directly, and nothing starts until you approve it.

Honest outcomes

Four ways the first conversation can end

I say which one it is out loud, before we’re done talking.

Worth a closer look

We book the first working session, with the people who do the work in the room.

Not yet

Usually one thing has to change first, such as getting the data out of a system that won’t export it. I’ll name it, and you can email me when it’s done.

Not a fit

If there’s no repeating document work, or nobody inside who could own the system, I’ll tell you, along with what would change my answer.

Let me look into it

If the answer isn’t clear after one conversation, I’ll say so, and once I’ve checked, I’ll come back to you with a straight answer.

What helps

Bring the last one you did

A real example tells me more than a description of the process, so have one on hand when we talk. For example:

  • the last RFQ you quoted and the quote that went out
  • a print and the traveler or cut sheet built from it
  • the month-end workbook someone rebuilds by hand
  • a report someone pieces together from several systems
  • a grant report or board packet you just finished

Please don’t send anything confidential yet. Describing the work is enough to start, and we can look at the real documents together.

Where we work

West Michigan, on site

I’m based in West Michigan. Working sessions happen on site, in the building with the people who do the work, and some of the build work between sessions runs remotely, inside your accounts.

As of fall 2026, my deepest work has been inside West Michigan manufacturers. Non-profits, manufacturers’ reps and distributors, and other organizations that run on document-heavy work are welcome too.
